Update on the UVC Germicidal LED Disinfection units for the CourtSense facilities

It is of ultimate importance that we keep the safety and health of all our employees and guests at the highest regard, and we hope that together we will be able to make sure that CourtSense’s facilities remain to be a “safe environment” where everyone can enjoy their time on and off the tennis court while knowing that everyone inside the facility has done its best to be safe and healthy.
The company invested heavily in putting special UVC units that are sanitizing the air inside the facility 24/7. Some of these units are visible and some of these units were installed inside thecurrent HVAC system, so all the air that circulates through the facility is fully treated and sanitized. These units are hospital grade equipment.
UVC Germicidal (UVGI) LED disinfection devices are a scientific innovation that provide efficient and thorough disinfection. Devices are available to provide both Surface and Air stream Disinfection.
A UV Germicidal device is
an electrical device that emits light in the UVC band of the electromagnetic spectrum (Ultraviolet C).
Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) is electromagnetic radiation that can destroy the ability of microorganisms to reproduce by causing photochemical changes in nucleic acids.
UVC radiation has effectively been used for decades to reduce the spread of bacteria, such as tuberculosis. For this reason, UVC lamps are often called “germicidal” lamps. In recent article the FDA reveals UVC radiation may also be effective in inactivating the SARS-CoV-2 and discusses wavelength, dose, and duration of UVC radiation required to inactivate the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
