Summer Tennis Camps at Ramapo College - Overnight option

Three Weeks Only!!! (Jun 26 – July 14)

Full Day Outdoor Summer Camps | Boys and Girls Ages 8 – 18 | 4:1 Student-To-Coach Ratio | World Class Tennis Teaching Professionals | Natural Surroundings - Beautiful College Campus | Access to Indoor Swimming Pool | Lunch provided at air-conditioned brand new cafeteria | Transportation Service from Tenafly and Bogota Racquet Clubs | Camps run Monday through Friday

All levels, from beginners to advanced players are welcome. Players are grouped based upon level and aptitude.

• Day Camp - 8:45 am – 5:00 pm

• Overnight Camp, Monday 8:00 am – Friday 5:00pm

(4 nights’ accommodation in Mackin Hall* at the beautiful Ramapo College, meals at air-conditioned cafeteria and 24-hour adult supervision are provided. Campers that want to stay 2 or 3 weeks could stay over the weekend and would have full practice day on one weekend day)

*Mackin Hall is a five-story building, with elevator access. Each room in Mackin Hall has its own separate air-conditioning and its own bathroom and shower with a maximum of 2 campers per room. The bedroom measures approximately: 14’-7” x 15’. Furnishings include bed frame, mattress, large desk with desk chair, and wardrobe. Each bedroom also contains a microwave and refrigerator.

Daily Schedule:

8:00 am – Breakfast for overnight campers
8:45 am – Day campers dropped off at courts
9:00 am – 12:00 pm Stroke Instruction/Drills/Fitness
12:15 pm – Lunch
1:00 – 2:00 pm – Free time (Optional Swim)
2:00 – 3:00 pm – Singles Instruction and Match Play
3:00 – 4:00 pm – Doubles Instruction and Match Play
4:00 – 5:00 pm – Extra Stroke Help; Singles Challenge Ladder
5:00 pm – Day campers are picked up
5:15 pm – Dinner for overnight campers
6:30 pm – Evening Activity for overnight campers
10:15 pm – Back to Rooms
10:30 pm – Lights Out

Ira Miller

CourtSense is pleased to announce that Ira Miller, the men’s and women’s tennis coach at NJIT (New Jersey Institute of Technology), will Ira Millerbe directing the CourtSense Camps at Ramapo College.

Coach Miller has been one of the most successful college coaches in the East for over 20 years, winning 17 conference championships. He has won 16 conference Coach of the Year awards and in 2012 was selected as the ITA Northeast Region Coach of the Year. Coach Miller is in the Hall of Fame at both Fairleigh Dickinson and Drew Universities and coached Yeshiva University to their first conference championship in any sport in 2014.

Outside of collegiate tennis, coach Miller has been a successful Eastern Section Zonal Coach, his team winning the gold in 2006. He also coached the U.S. junior team at the Pan American Maccabi Games in Mexico City, is a recipient of the ITA/USTA Campus Recreation Award, has been featured in numerous tennis publications, and has been directing successful summer camps for over 20 years.
